Uncut was a band that had been around the Flint rock scene for many years before Eric joined. In the late 80's Sammy Tindal, Pete Thomas, Bill Bradley and Eric VanLandingham got together to form the newest line up of the band. This band played all cover songs and was meant to be the weekend bar band. Never the less, it was a great band. Sam's vocal style was that of Robert Plant, Blackie Lawless and David Coverdale, while Pete's guitar playing was clearly influenced by VanHalen, Judas Priest and others along those lines. Eric and Bill were straight of metal trio "Entice" and added that metal edge to songs like "Wild Child", "Keep Pushin" and "I don't need no doctor". This band did great at clubs around Michigan for the short time it existed. Bill was later replaced by Eddy LeGate, another great Flint drummer. Sam died a short time later and Pete continued the band with Eddy and some other musicians. Pete Thomas died November 4, 2004 in Florida. Visit a memorial page for them HERE | |||||||||||
