Mean Street has been Tony and Tom Barr's band for years, they met Eric at a bar in Bay City, Michigan called "the Sawmill" where both Mean Street and Uncut had played regularly. Eric and Tony hit it off right away and wanted to combine styles to better the band. Tony and Tom were both good singers but needed someone with the ability to hit those high notes, so with the addition of Eric, the three part harmonies came out easily. Mean Street had many originals which went over great with audiences. The band also played enough cover songs to pull off nights at bars by itself. The covers that were done were a little on the heavy side, but that's what kept the almost occult type following coming back every time. The band did some touring of Michigan, and even opened for Damage Inc in Louisville, Kentucky. Yes, Eric was in both bands. Below, left to right: Tony Barr, Paul Letherer, Tom Barr and Eric VanLandingham (back). There are a couple mp3's and pictures available in the download section. | |||||||||||
